Racists Are Using The Black Lives Matter Movement To Abuse Patriotism In Order To Promote Hatred

15/06/2020

One of the (many) ugly things to emerge from the murder of George Floyd in Minnesota, is the speedy use of supposed patriotism to fuel the fires of racial hatred and intolerance.

Some of the nastiest people in the world are quick to use any opportunity to stoke the fires of racism and fool people into believing that they're being patriotic, when they're actually getting on the racist bandwagon.

There have been many groups like this that have operated with the sole aim of promoting racism, xenophobia and other forms of bigotry. The problem is, that these racist groups have become very good at using social media to push their evil agenda and create fear and division.

What follows, is a series of images and screenshots taken from this particular group's Facebook page.  I think they highlight the ugly racist mentality of their supporters.

Whilst some white supremacists still declare him a terrorist, most of the world see him as a freedom fighter.
If you zoom in on the banner, they claim to be people of all races. But they're all white.
The images looked doctored to me, but the call for the Ku Klux Klan is real; these white supremacists want division.
As far as I can tell, no one is being asked to apologise for being white. That isn't what this whole issue is about.
Images such as this shout out 'white supremacy'. It has nothing to do with honesty or decency.
No-one said that white lives don't matter. But the racists will spout this nonsense.
Claims that a Vet was murdered by BLM protestors were lies. As were claims this girl stamped on his head.

I have reported the page to Facebook, but don't expect them to act anywhere near quick enough to protect other users from becoming hoodwinked by it.

Please people, stop sharing posts from others promoting hateful messages.

This isn't how we will build a positive future.
