Halton Moor Disorder: In COVID Times, Such Disorder Cannot Be Tolerated

In the midst of the pandemic affecting not just the UK, but most of the world, it is intolerable that some elements of our society have chosen to reject compliance with the restrictions set out to help protect our communities.

Whether it is the selfish, imbecilic 'conspiracy theorists', or the yobbish louts who have been engaged in riotous behaviour in places such as Leeds, these idiots must face the legal consequences of their actions. More than that, however, their communities need to let these thugs know that their actions will not be tolerated and continued obscene misconduct will not be forgiven.

When most people have been adhering to the requirements, for their neighbours to be ignoring the rules and showing a complete lack of thought for those that might become infected, our NHS and the emergency services personnel trying to keep order and protect communities is an act of betrayal.

The police in West Yorkshire have arrested three people in Halton Moor and I sincerely hope that this leads to further arrests and further people made to pay for their wanton selfishness.

We are, as I've said before, in the midst of a pandemic; the antics of the selfish and ignorant should not be tolerated.
